RC4 LumenDimPix

The RC4 LumenDimPix is a tiny wireless DMX driver for pixel LEDs on the CRMX platform, letting designers create beautiful effects quickly while using fewer DMX channels. It controls two separate strings up to 500 pixels long — equivalent to 3,000 DMX channels — using just 3 to 510 channels within a single DMX universe, via RC4's patented Custom Pixel Profiles™. Configure the string type, DMX start channel, and other parameters per driver using RC4 OneTouch™ or wired RDM.

The LumenDimPix supports all popular pixel protocols, including WS2801, WS2812, APA102, LPD8806, MY9231 and others. As chip technology advances, RC4 CodeLoader™ lets you download and install drivers for new pixel products.

It includes a standard DMX data port and an I²C interface for use with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and more. Any number of receiver-dimmers, including multiple LumenDimPix units, can share a LumenDim system.

Traditional DMX-to-pixel mapping consumes vast numbers of channels — a single 512-channel universe controls only 170 RGB pixels. RC4 Custom Pixel Profiles use keyframes to deliver the same design versatility with far fewer console DMX channels, controlling up to 1,000 pixel LEDs.

RC4 ColorMatch™ lets designers adjust colour balance across pixel strings from different manufacturers for a consistent palette, while Pixel Colour Order keeps colour sequencing consistent across a large system — moving colour correction into the driver instead of the console or media server.
